The Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Greenstone at its meeting held on February 23, 2026, directed staff to proceed with the Sale of Land located in the Beardmore Ward of the Municipality of Greenstone in accordance with Section 270(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001 and Public Notice Policy 25-56.

The Greenstone Seniors Active Living Centre – Longlac will be closed on Thursday, February 19 and Friday, February 20 due to unforeseen circumstances.

Repairs have been completed at the Longlac Sportsplex following the earlier ammonia leak. The affected area has been fully addressed, ammonia levels have been cleared, and the facility has been deemed safe for occupancy.

Repairs have been made at the Geraldton Community Centre and the centre will reopen today, February 17, for regularly scheduled programming. 

The Application Period is now open for the Esnagami Memorial Bursary. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

Applications are being welcomed for the Municipality of Greenstone Scholarship Award Program. The deadline to apply is May 15, 2026, 4:00 p.m.

Take Notice that tenders are invited for the purchase of land(s) and will be received until 3:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Greenstone Administration Office, 1800 Main Street, PO Box 70, Geraldton, ON P0T 1M0. The tenders will then be opened in public on the same day as soon as possible after 3:00 p.m. at the Greenstone Administration Office.
