Municipal elections are held every four years on the fourth Monday in October to elect the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Greenstone. The next Municipal Election will take place on October 26, 2026. The current term of office ends on November 14, 2026.
The nomination period is now open and nominations will be received until August 21, 2026 at 2 p.m. Learn more about becoming a Candidate in the 2026 Municipal Election.
The following people have filed nomination papers. The nominees listed below are not official candidates until the Clerk has reviewed, confirmed eligibility, and certified their nomination on August 24, 2026. In accordance with Section 35 of the Municipal Elections Act, the Monday following Nomination Day, the Clerk shall examine each nomination filed and if satisfied the person is qualified to be nominated and that the nomination complies with the Act, certify the Candidate for the 2026 Election. The listing will be updated daily when nominations are filed.
