Residents are advised that blasting operations will begin today and are expected to continue for approximately one week. Up to three blasts per day are anticipated. Motorists should expect additional traffic delays and temporary two-way lane closures during blast operations.
Residents are advised that the work zone is being extended further north to accommodate blasting operations and asphalt removal. As a result, Queen Ave in the Geraldton Ward will be closed at Main St. Local traffic may access Queen Ave via East St.

The installation of new filters at the Longlac Water Treatment Plant is now underway. This project is part of the Rehabilitation of the Longlac Water Treatment Plant, supported through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) – Green Infrastructure Funding Stream, with up to $1.79 million in combined federal and provincial funding. The total project cost is approximately $2.4 million.
In recognition of Canada Day on Wed July 1st, residential garbage collection has been rescheduled to Mon June 29th (two days earlier than the regular schedule).
