Elections Compliance Audit Committee
If an eligible elector believes on reasonable grounds that a candidate has contravened the Municipal Elections Act, with respect to municipal campaign finances, they may apply to have an audit of the candidate's campaign finances. The Compliance Audit Committee will:
- Consider applications for a compliance audit of the campaign finances of a candidate for municipal council or a registered third-party advertiser resulting from the regular municipal election or any by-election held during the term of office for the Council for which the Committee was appointed
- Appoint an auditor if the committee decides to grant a compliance audit
- Review the auditor’s report. If the report concludes that the candidate or registered third-party advertiser appears to have contravened the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the Committee will decide whether legal proceedings should be commenced against the candidate or registered third-party advertiser
- Receive and consider reports from the Clerk identifying contributors who appear to have contravened any of the contribution limits set out in the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. The Committee will decide whether to commence a legal proceeding against a contributor for an apparent contravention.
Recruitment for Elections Compliance Audit Committee members will occur between January and September during an election year.
Committee of Adjustment
The Committee of Adjustment reviews minor variance applications required for a building project that doesn't meet our zoning by-law requirements. Applications are reviewed through scheduled public hearings. View our meeting calendar for upcoming meeting dates.
Property Standards Committee

Greenstone O.P.P. Detachment Board
The Greenstone O.P.P. Detachment Board oversees the delivery of police services in the Municipality of Greenstone and surrounding areas and works with the O.P.P. to set priorities and objectives for the community. Learn more about the Greenstone O.P.P. Detachment Board.
