UPDATE: January 13, 2026 This dog is no longer under the care of the Municipality. 

The Municipality of Greenstone has a female dog in care that was found in the Geraldton Ward. Please call 807-854-1100 ext. 2027 to claim. The dog will be kept in care with the Municipality for up to 72 hours. 

The phone lines have been restored at the Greenstone Administration Office.

The Municipality of Greenstone has a dog in care that was found in the Longlac Ward. Please call 807-854-1100 ext. 2027 to claim. The dog will be kept in care with the Municipality for up to 72 hours. 

Due to mechanical issues, garbage pickup has been delayed today in Geraldton. As a result, all areas may not be reached.

A controlled burn of wood materials only is occurring at the Nakina Landfill today - January 5, 2026.

The Regular Council meeting for January 2026 has been rescheduled to Monday, January 26.

The Municipality of Greenstone will raise the Alzheimer's Awareness flag at the the Municipal Administration Office on January 5th, 2026. 

The Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Greenstone at its meeting held on December 8, 2025, directed staff to proceed with the Sale of Lands located in the Geraldton Ward of the Municipality of Greenstone in accordance with Section 270(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001 and Public Notice Policy 25-56.
