The Municipality of Greenstone has a male dog in care that was found east of Beardmore. Please call 807-854-1100 to claim. The dog will be kept in care with the Municipality for up to 72 hours.
All Municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Wed July 1st due to the Canada Day holiday. Garbage collection normally scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled to Mon June 29th.
The installation of new filters at the Longlac Water Treatment Plant is now underway. This project is part of the Rehabilitation of the Longlac Water Treatment Plant, supported through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) – Green Infrastructure Funding Stream, with up to $1.79 million in combined federal and provincial funding. The total project cost is approximately $2.4 million.
In recognition of Canada Day on Wed July 1st, residential garbage collection has been rescheduled to Mon June 29th (two days earlier than the regular schedule).

The Municipality of Greenstone is inviting sealed tenders for the purchase and redevelopment of the surplus property municipally known as 403 3rd Street West, Geraldton, Ontario. The property is being offered for sale on an “as-is, where-is” basis through a public tender process intended to encourage redevelopment and productive reuse of the site.

In the Friends/Family/Individual category, the winners are Lori Belzile and Mikekayla Ashamock; Bre & Dax Dawd and Shy & Blair Nolan; and Luka & Lakelyn Wesley and Kristi Kasprick. In the School category, the winning entry is Miss Pietsch's Grade 4-5 class from B.A. Parker Public School.
