Contractors are preparing to begin work on the Geraldton Main Street Rehabilitation Project. The work zone extends from south of the Municipal Administration Building to Benner Ave, with the first phase focusing on the section from Edith Ave northward to Queen Ave. Work will move northward in approx. 200–300m sections to reduce disruptions to residents, businesses, and traffic.

The Municipality of Greenstone is inviting sealed tenders for the purchase and redevelopment of the surplus property municipally known as 105 Thom Street, Longlac, Ontario. The property is being offered for sale on an “as-is, where-is” basis through a public tender process intended to encourage redevelopment and productive reuse of the site.

The Municipality is pleased to announce the start of the Geraldton Main Street Rehabilitation Project in the Geraldton Ward. All project information and updates will be posted on our website under Business and Development → Geraldton Main Street Rehabilitation Project.

Please be advised that all non-emergency municipal services and facilities will close at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, to allow staff to attend a Municipality of Greenstone Staff Appreciation BBQ.

THAT NOTICE THAT the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Greenstone at its meeting held on May 11, 2026 at the Council Chambers, 1800 Main Street, Geraldton Ward, Municipality of Greenstone, ON, directed staff to proceed with the Direct Sale of Land located in the Beardmore Ward of the Municipality of Greenstone in accordance with Section 270(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001 and Public Notice Policy 25-56

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Greenstone has passed By-Law No. 26-24 on May 11, 2026, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13.

All Municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Mon May 18th due to the Victoria Day holiday. Garbage collection normally scheduled for Monday has been rescheduled to Tuesday.

The Municipality of Greenstone is encouraging local community groups and organizations to take advantage of its Municipal Grants Program, a funding initiative designed to support events, programs, and services that enhance community life.
