Today is the final day to cast your vote for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. 

Important Reminders for Voters

The voting system will close promptly at 8 p.m. Don't wait until the last minute to vote!

• If you require changes to your Voter Information Letter (VIL), you need to be at a Voter Help Centre prior to 8 p.m. to make the required changes.
• If you choose to vote by telephone, ensure that your ballot is cast prior to 8 p.m.
• If voting by internet, ensure you are active in the system prior to 8 p.m., and finalize your vote as soon as possible as the system will time out. 
• If your internet or phone connection is lost after 8 p.m., you will not be able to reenter the system to cast your vote.
• If planning to vote at a kiosk at a Voter Help Centre, you will need to be in line prior to 8 p.m. If you arrive after the Election Official in charge of the Centre closes the line, you will not be permitted to cast your vote.
• If you didn't receive your VIL in the mail, visit a Voter Help Centre for assistance before 8 p.m.

Unofficial Results Announcement

The unofficial results will be released once all kiosks are closed, an no additional Voters remain in the internet platform. Residents are welcome to join us in person at the Greenstone Administration Office after the close of Voting to await the final unofficial results. We expect to release the results by 8:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter. Unofficial results will be available through the following ways:

• In Person - Greenstone Administration Office, 1800 Main Street, Geraldton, approximately 8:30 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter.
• Livestream - Watch live, or view the recording after the announcement.
• Online - Our Elections Results page will be updated this evening once unofficial results are released. 
• By Email - Sign up for Municipal News and Notices

Certified Election Results will be released in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act  following Voting Day.
