The Municipality of Greenstone is requesting that all residents and businesses in the Longlac Ward voluntarily reduce their water consumption while staff complete the commissioning of the first filter in the new filtration system at the Longlac Water Treatment Plant.
The exact length of the conservation request is yet to be determined. Project engineers will inform the Municipality when the conservation can be lifted. At this time the expectation is 1-2 weeks.

All Municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Mon Aug 3rd due to the Civic Holiday. Garbage collection normally scheduled for Monday has been rescheduled to Tuesday.

The Municipality of Greenstone would like to advise all participants of the Greenstone Seniors Active Living Centre - Geraldton (SALC) that, due to ongoing construction at the Geraldton Community Centre, the front entrance is temporarily closed. During construction, all SALC participants are required to use the west entrance to access the facility.
The Municipality of Greenstone has an intact male dog in care that was found in the Geraldton Ward. Please call 807-854-1100 to claim. The dog will be kept in care with the Municipality for up to 72 hours.
