The Municipality of Greenstone is inviting residents to apply for appointment to the Elections Compliance Audit Committee for the 2026 - 2030 term. This committee helps uphold transparency in municipal elections by reviewing campaign finance-related applications.

Please be advised that 1st Street West, between Mackenzie Avenue and Wardrope Avenue in the Geraldton Ward, will be temporarily closed to through traffic to allow for a culvert replacement.
The Municipality of Greenstone is pleased to announce that the Beardmore Snowman Restoration Project is nearly 100% complete, with only a few minor touch-ups remaining before the project is fully finished. Approved by Council through the 2026 Municipal Capital Budget, the project was supported with 75% funding from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC).
As part of the Main Street Rehabilitation Project, John Avenue is currently closed at its west end. This closure is in addition to the existing west-end closures of Edith Avenue, Queen Avenue, and King Avenue.
A temporary water service interruption is required on King Street in the Geraldton Ward to complete work associated with the ongoing Geraldton Main Street Rehabilitation Project. The interruption is scheduled to begin between 7:30-8:00 a.m. on Wed Aug 5th and is expected to last approximately 2 to 3 hours.
The Municipality of Greenstone is pleased to announce that the Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) - Longlac will reopen on Tuesday, August 4, with regular programming resuming at the Centre. To assist with the transition, the scheduled bus trip to Geraldton will still operate on Tuesday, August 4 for participants wishing to attend Carpet Bowling. Following this date, transportation to Geraldton will no longer be provided, as programming will once again be available at the SALC - Longlac.
