The Municipality of Greenstone invites all residents to Round 2 Public Open House for the ongoing Waste Management Environmental Assessment. The purpose of the Waste Management Environmental Assessment process is to develop a long-term plan to manage recycling and garbage disposal within the Municipality.

The Municipality of Greenstone is excited to announce the arrival of a brand new Pumper/Tanker fire truck. All residents are invited to the Greenstone Fire and Emergency Services Station #2 (Geraldton), 101 1st Street West, on Thursday, April 18 at 11:30 a.m. At this time a "Push In" ceremony for the new fire truck will occur and the truck will officially be dedicated to the memory of long-time, beloved Fire Chief, former Council member, and life-long Geraldton resident, John Marino.

Specialized Transit Program

Registration is now open for the Specialized Transit Program which will be launched on Monday, April 15, 2024. 

The Specialized Transit Program is a door-to-door, pre-booked, shared ride, accessible public transit service for eligible persons in Greenstone. The Specialized Transit Program will run as a pilot project for one-year (April 2024 - April 2025), after which time Council will determine if the program is viable. Seasonal Campground Draws Now Open

Applications for seasonal campsites at Poplar Lodge Park and Cordingley Lake Campgrounds are now open!

All applications must be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Applications may be submitted by email, mail or in person. Visit the PARKS CAMPGROUNDS AND TRAILS page of the municipal website for application forms and more information.

A reminder that all reservations for Macleod Provincial Park must be done through the Ontario Parks reservation system.
