The Municipality of Greenstone has not yet received aconfirmed start date for the implementation of Ontario’s new curbside recycling program in Greenstone, despite earlier public messaging that regional and northern communities would transition by January 1, 2026.
Public Works staff have been, and continue to, work diligently throughout this significant event to maintain safe travel conditions across the municipality. Their work often continues for extended hours under challenging weather conditions. Patience and understanding from residents is required and appreciated as crews complete maintenance in accordance with regulated standards.

Given the current weather conditions being experienced throughout much of Greenstone, the Municipality has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Policy 23-82.
