2026 Scholarship Award Program
The Municipality of Greenstone is excited to announce applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Municipality of Greenstone Scholarship Awards. The Municipality will award up to four $1500 Scholarships to Greenstone residents attending a post-secondary institution. Successful applicants are selected based on an essay outlining thoughtful, original, and creative ways the applicant has personally helped to improve the community, including realistic goals of what else they can do to make it even better.
Eligibility Criteria
- 2026 Graduates that are residents of the Municipality of Greenstone attending Geraldton Composite High School or École Secondaire Château-Jeunesse.
- Entering into the first year of post-secondary education.
Application Process and Scoring
Before the deadline on May 15, 2026 at 4:00 p.m., applicants should submit:
- A fully completed application form
- A 500 - 1000 word essay in English or French describing what you have personally done to improve your community and what else can you do to make it even better
Submissions will be graded on the following criteria:
- Originality and creativity of ideas (50%)
- Realistic goals (25%)
- Fully completed and neat application form (25%)

Esnagami Memorial Bursary
The Esnagami Memorial Bursary is also available for eligible students to submit an application if they intend to enroll in a post-secondary education related to forestry. Learn more about this opportunity!
