The Municipality of Greenstone invites all residents to Round 2 Public Open House for the ongoing Waste Management Environmental Assessment. The purpose of the Waste Management Environmental Assessment process is to develop a long-term plan to manage recycling and garbage disposal within the Municipality.

Please join us to learn about the project and provide input on the future of the Municipality of Greenstone’s waste management system and operations.

The Open House aims to:

  • Summarize results of Round 1 engagement
  • Present landfill site exclusion criteria and long-list of landfill site options
  • Present landfill site selection criteria
  • Present evaluation criteria for waste management system selection
  • Collect feedback on preferred waste management system type
  • Present potential mitigation measures to protect land, air, water, flora, fauna, and people
