Back to SearchOn May 7, the IESO will host a webinar to discuss the Northern Ontario Connection Study. The Northern Ontario Connection Study encompasses the Greenstone-Marathon electricity planning subregion (Marathon to Whitesand), up to Fort Severn in the far north.
The study aims to develop options to connect First Nation communities reliant on diesel-generated electricity to the grid, improve reliability for grid-connected First Nation communities, support critical minerals mining development and enable new supply resources including, but not limited to, hydro-electric and renewable generation.
