Spring Hydrant Flushing

The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will be preforming spring maintenance by flushing hydrants and exercising valves throughout the Municipality of Greenstone beginning Tuesday, May 21st through to Friday, May 31st.

The flushing will occur in the Wards of Beardmore, Geraldton, Longlac, and Nakina.

If you notice discolored water during this maintenance operation please run your taps until the water is clear.

Keeping Homes and Communities Safe from Bears

A Bear Management Technician will be conducting outreach throughout the community with municipal staff to promote public awareness about bears with a focus on attractant management. 

Road Work - Main Street Geraldton

Preliminary work is set to begin on Main Street in the Geraldton Ward the week of May 20, 2024.

The necessary locates have been completed and phase one of the reconstruction design work for Main Street is set to begin. Phase one of the design work will begin with a geophysical survey and Lidar (laser) scanning being done. Municipal Facility and Landfill Closures - Monday, May 20th

Please be advised that all municipal offices, facilities and landfills will be closed on Monday, May 20, 2024 in recognition of the Victoria Day Holiday.

Garbage collection that normally occurs on Monday has been rescheduled, please view the Garbage Collection Calendar for revised dates.
