Election day is on October 24, 2022. Voting will open on Wednesday, October 19 at 9:00 a.m. and remain open until Monday, October 24, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. The voting method for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections will be vote by internet or telephone.
ELIGIBILITY
You can vote on voting day in the Municipality of Greenstone if you are:
- At least 18 years old
- Residing in the Municipality of Greenstone
- An owner or tenant of land in the municipality, or the spouse of an owner or tenant
- Not prohibited from voting
You cannot vote in a municipal election if you are:
- Serving a sentence of imprisonment in a penal or correctional institution
- A corporation
- A person convicted of a corrupt practice for an election held within four years of voting day
HOW TO VOTE
Each person on the voters' list will be mailed a sealed Voter Information Letter containing:
- a Personal Identification Number (PIN), the telephone number to call to cast a vote, the web address (URL) to access to vote using the internet;
- instructions on how to vote;
- dates and hours of voting; and
- the location and telephone numbers of the Voter Help Centres
If you do not have access to a computer or telephone, you can visit a Voter Help Centre and use a kiosk we will have set up.
The Voter Information Letter will be bilingual, with English and French instructions. Each unique PIN will allow the Voter to cast one vote, whether by internet or telephone.
If you have not received your Voter Information Letter and you are entitled to vote, visit your Voter Help Centre.
