September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a time to honour Survivors of residential schools and reflect on reconciliation. The Every Child Matters flag will be raised on Monday, September 28, at the Municipal Administration Office in recognition of this day. All municipal facilities will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, with Wednesday garbage collection being moved to Monday, September 28.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Longlac Ward Office will be closed on Friday, September 11, 2026. If assistance is required, please contact the Greenstone Administration Office at 807-854-1100.

Starting Tues Sept 8th, the front parking lot at the Municipal Administration Office will be open, while the rear parking lot will be closed due to the ongoing Main Street Rehabilitation project. Parking is available at the front of the building. The Municipal Administration Office will remain open during regular business hours.

All Municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Mon Sept 7th due to the Labour Day holiday. Garbage collection normally scheduled for Monday has been rescheduled to Tuesday.

Applications for the Snow Windrow Removal Program are now being accepted for the 2026-2027 winter season. This program provides assistance to eligible residents based on financial need. Eligible residents must submit applications annually by October 1st.

Please be advised that beginning Wed Sept 2nd, the front parking lot at the Municipal Administration Office will be closed for a minimum of one week due to the Main Street Rehabilitation Project. Parking will be available at the rear of the building, with building access provided by a walkway and ramp on the west side. The Municipal Administration Office will remain open during regular business hours.

As work continues on the Main Street Rehabilitation Project, motorists are advised that traffic detours will be changing over the coming days as construction progresses.
