Water Shut-Off Notice – King Street, Geraldton

AUGUST 5, 2026

The Municipality of Greenstone wishes to advise residents and businesses on King Street in the Geraldton Ward of a planned water service interruption on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as part of the Geraldton Main Street Rehabilitation Project.

Date: Wednesday, August 5, 2026

Time: Water service shut off will begin between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

The interruption is expected to last approximately 2 to 3 hours.

This temporary shutdown is necessary to complete work associated with the ongoing rehabilitation of Main Street and to safely connect municipal water infrastructure.

What Residents Should Know

  • Please store enough water in advance for drinking, cooking, and other essential household needs during the interruption.
  • Avoid running taps or using water-dependent appliances while the water is off.
  • Once service has been restored, you may notice temporary air in the water lines or slight discolouration. If this occurs, run your cold water tap for several minutes until the water runs clear.
  • If discolouration persists after flushing, please contact the Municipality.

The Municipality appreciates your patience and cooperation as we complete these important infrastructure improvements. This work is part of the Geraldton Main Street Rehabilitation Project, which will improve the reliability and longevity of municipal infrastructure while enhancing the community for residents, businesses, and visitors.

We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary interruption may cause and thank you for your understanding.
