Geraldton Main Street Rehabilitation Project

The Municipality of Greenstone is pleased to announce the start of the Geraldton Main Street Rehabilitation Project in the Geraldton Ward.

This important infrastructure project will include improvements to sections of Main Street and will involve roadway reconstruction, underground infrastructure upgrades, drainage improvements, sidewalk and curb work, and surface restoration. The project is intended to improve the long-term condition, safety, and functionality of the downtown corridor for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Construction activities will begin shortly and will continue throughout the construction season. During this time, residents and motorists can expect temporary traffic disruptions, lane restrictions, reduced parking availability, and periodic road closures within the project area.

Beginning the week of May 25th the contractor will be approaching affected residents and occupants regarding the connection of a Temporary Water System that will need to be installed in preparation of the upcoming construction.

The Municipality is committed to keeping the public informed throughout the duration of the project.
