Frank Dzijacky Recognized with Ontario Senior of the Year Award

At the July 13, 2026, Regular Meeting of Council, the Municipality of Greenstone was proud to recognize Frank Dzijacky as the recipient of the Ontario Senior of the Year Award.

Frank was nominated by a local resident in recognition of his many years of volunteer service and his lasting contributions to the community.

Through his dedication and leadership, Frank coordinated and helped ensure the continued success of the Geraldton Concert Series and the Children's Concert Series, bringing quality musical performances to residents of all ages. His efforts also helped provide special concerts and events for local public schools, creating memorable experiences for students throughout the community.

While Frank was supported by dedicated committee members over the years, it was his commitment, organization, and countless hours of work behind the scenes that kept these programs thriving and accessible to the community.

The Ontario Senior of the Year Award recognizes seniors who have made outstanding contributions to enriching the social, cultural, or civic life of their communities after the age of 65.
