Baseball Wind-Ups 2026
The Municipality of Greenstone was pleased to host the year-end Youth Baseball Wind-Up celebrations in the communities of Geraldton on Monday, July 20th and Longlac on Tuesday, July 21st. The wind-up events, held at each community's Legion, brought players and their families together for a pizza supper and medal presentations recognizing all participants in attendance. Participants who were unable to attend can pick up their medals at their local ward office.
This year's season ran for six weeks, from early June through July, and welcomed a total of 119 youth participants, including 40 in Geraldton and 79 in Longlac.
A sincere thank you goes out to our incredible volunteer coaches who dedicated their time and energy to making this season possible! Their commitment and enthusiasm helped create a fun and rewarding experience for our local youth! The Municipality is grateful for their continued support of recreation programming in our communities.

The Youth Soccer Program is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of August 10th. We are currently looking for volunteer coaches to help make the program a success. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out a Program Volunteer Interest Form or contact the Manager of Parks & Rec at 807-854-1100 ext. 2061.
