2026 Ontario Cadets Week

The Municipality of Greenstone will raise the Air Cadet flag in recognition of Air Cadets Week and the 227 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron. The flag raising is in celebration of the dedication, leadership, and accomplishments of Air Cadets and recognizes the important role they play in building confidence, teamwork, and community spirit. The Air Cadet program has been running in the area since the 1940's and supports youth engagement and aviation interests in Northwestern Ontario. The 227 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron regularly participates in regional events, including annual local Remembrance Day ceremonies. Congratulations to the Air Cadets on a week of celebration!

The flag has been raised at the Greenstone Administration Office in accordance with the Municipality of Greenstone's Flag Policy. The policy provides guidance on the display of flags at municipal facilities to ensure recognition is given in a respectful, consistent, and inclusive manner.
