UPDATED Community Centres Ice Schedules

Municipal staff have been working hard to complete the Longlac Sportsplex ice surface and prepare the facility for use.

Current Status

· Final checks are scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2025, to determine if the ice will be ready for use as of Monday, October 20, 2025.

· If all goes well, the regular ice schedules (listed below) will take effect starting Monday.

Week of October 13–19, 2025

Due to ongoing ice issues at the Longlac Sportsplex, the Geraldton Community Centre will operate on a modified ice schedule for this week.

What’s changing this week

• Ice times at the Geraldton Community Centre have been adjusted to accommodate additional user groups.

• Some programming has been modified to maximize available ice.

• Please check your team/organization communications for updated time slots.

Longlac status

• The ice at the Longlac Sportsplex is expected to be ready next week (week of October 20–26, 2025), pending final checks.

Next steps 

• Updated schedules for both the Geraldton Community Centre and the Longlac Sportsplex will be posted as soon as they’re finalized.
