Sale of Land by Public Tender (Tax Sale)

Tenders are invited for the purchase of land in tax arrears and will be received until 3:00 p.m. (local time) on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Greenstone Administration Office, 1800 Main Street, Geraldton, PO Box 70, Geraldton, ON, P0T 1M0. Tenders will be opened in public as soon as possible after 3:00 p.m. at the same location.

Important notes for bidders (summary):

• The Municipality makes no representation regarding title, existing interests, environmental concerns, or other matters relating to the lands. Purchasers are responsible for constructing due diligence.
• The successful purchaser must pay the amount tendered plus accumulated taxes and any applicable taxes (e.g. Land Transfer Tax and HST).
• Non-Canadian purchasers: Please review the Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act and obtain independent legal advice before bidding.
• Non-Resident Speculation Tax (NRST) may apply to certain residential transfers in Ontario.
