DOG TAG NOTICE – 2026

All dog owners within the enforcement area are reminded that dog tags must be purchased on or before March 15, 2026.

Dog licensing helps support animal control services and assists in the safe return of lost pets.

🏷️ NEW! LIFETIME DOG TAG OPTION

A lifetime dog tag is now available for eligible dogs - pay once and never renew again!

  • Lifetime Tag (Spayed or Neutered and Microchipped): $75.00

  • Lifetime Tag (Spayed or Neutered only): $100.00

💲 ANNUAL DOG TAG FEES

  • Dog (not spayed or neutered): $30.91

  • Spayed dog: $12.35

  • Neutered dog: $12.35

  • Senior citizens discount: 50% off regular fees

  • Replacement dog tag: $6.21

  • Late registration surcharge (after March 15): $6.21

🐕 DOG LIMITS & RESTRICTIONS

  1. No more than three (3) dogs may be kept in any residential, commercial, or industrial building within the enforcement area.

  2. This restriction does not apply to:

    • Kennels used for breeding or boarding

    • Animal hospitals operated by a licensed Ontario veterinarian

    • Pet stores

    • Ontario Humane Society shelters

    • Pounds

  3. This restriction does not apply to dogs under two (2) months of age.

⚠️ IMPORTANT

  • A violation for not purchasing a dog tag may result in a $75.00 fine.

  • Additional penalties apply for dogs running at large. For more information on dog licensing, fees, or eligibility for lifetime tags, please refer to Schedule L -  Animal Control Fees (By-Law 25-69) or contact your municipal office.
