Dog Licences
If you live in the Municipality of Greenstone and own a dog, you must buy a dog tag licence every year. Dog tags are valid from January 1 to December 31.
We are committed to keeping your pets safe. A dog licence can help identify lost pets and make sure they are reunited with their owners.
Purchasing a dog licence or replacement tag
If you lose your dog tag, contact any Municipal Ward Office to buy a replacement tag for a fee of $6.21.
Deadline to register
You must register your dog for the year before February 15 or the following business day to avoid a late penalty. An extra charge of $6.21 will apply to all licenses purchased after the deadline.

It is your responsibility to notify the Municipality if a dog has acquired a new owner, or if the dog is deceased.
