Municipal Offices

All municipal offices will be closed on the following dates:

Garbage Collection

Residential garbage collection has been rescheduled:

• Original collection day: Thursday, December 25 - Rescheduled collection day: Monday, December 29, 2025
• Original collection day: Friday, December 26 - Rescheduled collection day: Monday, December 29, 2025
• Original collection day: Thursday, January 1 - Rescheduled collection day: Friday, January 2, 2026

Please ensure all garbage is placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the appropriate collection day.

Garbage Collection Calendar

Landfills 

Beardmore, Longlac, and Nakina Landfills will all be closed December 25 & 26, and January 1. 

Regular Landfills Schedule

Daycares 

The Geraldton Day Care Centre will be closed December 22 - January 2, inclusive. 

The Friends of the North Day Care will be closed December 25 & 26,  and January 1. 

Seniors Active Living Centres 

The Seniors Active Living Centre in Geraldton will be closed December 20 - January 4, inclusive. 

The Seniors Active Living Centre in Longlac will be closed December 25 & 26, and January 1.
