Longlac Sportsplex Reopening at 3:00 p.m. (February 17)

Repairs have been completed at the Longlac Sportsplex following the earlier ammonia leak. The affected area has been fully addressed, ammonia levels have been cleared, and the facility has been deemed safe for occupancy.

The Sportsplex will reopen today at 3:00 p.m. for regularly scheduled programming.

Thank you to the public for your patience and cooperation during the temporary closure, and to all crews and partners who assisted in resolving the issue safely and efficiently.

The Longlac Sportsplex is temporarily closed effective immediately due to an ammonia leak detected within the facility.

Emergency services are on site and the situation is being addressed. For safety reasons, residents are asked to avoid the area until further notice.

The safety of the public is our top priority. We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available.
