Forest Fire Update: July 16, 2026

The Municipality of Greenstone continues to monitor the wildfires closest to our communities in coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR).

We will continue to be in contact with the MNR and will provide any updates through our communication channels.

The MNR has advised that committed fire crews remain assigned to both the wildfire nearest Nakina and the Greer Road wildfire. These fires continue to be actively actioned and remain a priority for suppression efforts.
