We aim to provide you exceptional customer service in the Municipality of Greenstone. From our services, to facilities, to programs, and staff members, we want to know if you are not satisfied. Learn more about our complaint policy and how the complaint process works.

How to submit a complaint

Prior to submitting a formal complaint, please complete the following steps:

  1. Try to resolve your concern with our staff member or department directly
  2. If not satisfied with staff action, please connect directly with the department Manager and relevant Director 
  3. 3. If the above required steps do not bring satisfaction, a formal written complaint can be submitted by completing a Complaint Form

Complaints can be submitted in a sealed envelope marked confidential to our main office at 1800 Main St in Geraldton Ontario or by mail:

All complaints will be dealt with in a confidential manner according to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Information will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Act.

A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction related to a Municipality of Greenstone

  • Program
  • Service
  • Facility
  • Staff member

A complaint can be submitted when a resident believes that the Municipality has not

  • Provided a service experience to the customer's satisfaction at the point of service delivery
  • Provided a response or resolution

A complaint is a not a request for service or to notify the Municipality of Greenstone that a scheduled service was not provided on time.

Please do not use the complaint form if you are

  • Asking for more information about a Municipality of Greenstone product, program or service
  • Providing feedback, comments or suggestions to improve a service, program, product or process.

Not satisfied with how your complaint was addressed?

If you remain unsatisfied or feel we have not addressed your concern properly, you can register a complaint with the Ontario Ombudsman's Office.
