Water Conservation Notice – Longlac Ward

The Municipality is asking residents and businesses in the Longlac Ward to voluntarily conserve water over the next two weeks while significant upgrades are completed at the Longlac Water Treatment Plant.

These important infrastructure improvements will help enhance the reliability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the community's drinking water system. During this period, reducing non-essential water use will help ensure adequate water supply and maintain system stability while work is underway.

Residents are encouraged to limit discretionary water use, including:

  •         Watering lawns and gardens
  •          Washing vehicles, boats, and recreational equipment
  •          Filling swimming pools and hot tubs
  •          Pressure washing driveways, sidewalks, and buildings
  •          Other non-essential outdoor water activities

Essential household water use, including drinking, cooking, bathing, and sanitation, can continue as normal.

The Municipality will continue to monitor water system operations closely and will provide updates as work progresses. Residents will be notified once the conservation request has been lifted.

For more information, please contact the Municipal Office at 807-854-1100 ext. 2029.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to supporting these important infrastructure improvements.
