Storm Response: Thank You

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all staff who worked together to help our community through the recent winter storm.

This was a true team effort. From those fielding a high volume of calls, responding to residents’ concerns, and rearranging schedules, to staff supporting operations behind the scenes - your flexibility, patience, and professionalism did not go unnoticed.

We would like to extend special recognition to our Public Works staff who were on the front lines throughout the storm. Working long hours in challenging and often hazardous conditions, the dedication shown in all our communities is deeply appreciated.

Cleanup efforts remain ongoing, as the scope of this storm was extensive. We recognize that this work continues well beyond the initial response, and we thank all staff involved for their continued commitment and perseverance

Mayor McPherson, on behalf of Council, shared the following message of thanks: “I want to personally thank our staff for their exceptional efforts during this winter storm. From the frontline Public Works crews clearing snow and maintaining safe roads, to the staff managing calls and coordinating services, your commitment and teamwork made a real difference for our community. Council and I are extremely grateful for the professionalism and dedication shown during these challenging conditions.”
