Public skating is free for everyone. Come out as a family or bring a friend and enjoy an evening skate this season. It is a great way to remain active, beat the winter blues and have fun. There will be music to keep you moving throughout.

Parents and tots is free for everyone. This program is geared towards those who are just beginning to skate. It's a great way to go on the ice with your child and teach them how to skate and have fun. Skatemates will be available which help your child skate as it stabilizes them and gets them used to standing on the ice with skates.

Shinny is for those who want to improve their hockey skills outside of minor hockey. It's a great way to burn some energy and have fun with your friends! Shinny passes are available to purchase online only and can be purchased as a daily or season pass. A shinny pass is required prior to stepping on the ice and can be used at all of our Greenstone arenas.

Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of skating while developing their coordination and motor skills. Learn to Skate programming is subject to sufficient volunteer coaches and participants. Open to children ages 3 to 6 years old. Spaces will be filled on a first come - first paid basis.

On Ice Rental Availability:

Geraldton - Tuesdays from 8:00 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. Thursdays from 8:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. and Saturdays from 12:30 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. 

Longlac - Thursdays from 9:00 p.m. to 9:50 p.m. and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.

The Municipality of Greenstone is pleased to announce that Volunteer Coaches have signed up for the below communities and age groups.

Registration for youth Tball/Softball in Longlac and Geraldton is now open. The cost is $50.00 per child.

Longlac Tball/Softball will be held at Jeff Gauthier Baseball Field every Tuesday beginning on May 27 and ending on July 16. (8 weeks once a week)

The 2024 season has ended. Check back in July for information for the 2025 season! This program runs for 8 weeks, typically starting at the end of July.
