Parks, Campgrounds and Trails

Surrounded by nature, there are many parks, campgrounds and trails to choose from in the Municipality of Greenstone. There are also private campgrounds and resorts, outfitters and charters options available.

Visit for the day or book an overnight stay at a park within Greenstone. 

Campgrounds generally open on May Long Weekend, however, openings may be delayed due to weather conditions. Official opening dates will be posted yearly.

Municipal owned campgrounds

Located at 300 Highway 580 on Highway 580 east of Beardmore, learn what Poplar Lodge Park has to offer. 

 

Camping

There are 97 campsites with electrical and water hook-ups available for 45 of them. There is a seasonal draw for campsites every year.

Daily fees (subject to hst)

The regular daily rate for a non-electrical site is $40.94, electrical site is $46.33, and additional vehicles are $9.00.

Seniors daily rate for a non-electrical site is $32.75, electrical site is $37.06, and additional vehicles are $7.40.

Daily rate for persons with a disability for a non-electrical site is $20.48, electrical site is $23.17, 1 and additional vehicles are $5.00.

Monthly fees (subject to hst)

Monthly fee for a non-electrical site is $607.94 and an electrical site is $727.32.

Park features and amenities are free for day use. They include:

  • Lake Nipigon
  • Sandy Beach 
  • Playground
  • Picnic Area with Canopy
  • Comfort Station
  • Vault Toilets
  • Pump out Facility
  • High Hill Harbour docking and service station for boats including pump out facilities

Trails

Popular hiking trails include Lake Nipigon Shoreline Trail.

Located at 100 Riverview Street in Longlac, Ontario, learn what the Riverview Campground has to offer.

Camping

Open May to September, this campground offers 14 sites (seven full hook-up and seven with electricity). Washroom and shower facilities are available.

DAILY FEES (SUBJECT TO HST)

The regular daily rate for a full service site is $58.55, electrical site is $46.33, and additional vehicles are $9.00.

Seniors daily rate for a full service site is $41.79, electrical site is $37.06, and additional vehicles are $7.40.

Daily rate for persons with a disability for a full service site is $28.51, electrical site is $23.17, and additional vehicles are $5.00.

MONTHLY FEES (SUBJECT TO HST)

Monthly fee for a full-service site is $892.83 and an electrical site is $727.32.

Located at 1-R Beach Road, 5 km north of Nakina, Ontario on Cordingley Lake, learn what the Cordingley Lake Campground has to offer.

Camping

This campground offers seven sites with electrical service and 16 open sites for camper trailers. Washroom and changeroom facility is available. There is a seasonal draw for campsites every year.

Ontario provincial park

Located 3 km east of Highway 11 and 584, learn what MacLeod Provincial Park has to offer.

CAMPING

There are 100 campsites with 25 of those offering electrical. Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs, with water and toilets on site. One group camping area is also available.
