REMINDER - Voters' List

If you are entitled to vote and have not yet received a Voter Instruction Letter please visit your local Ward Office.  Please ensure to bring a valid piece of photo I.D. showing your qualifying address or a valid piece of photo I.D. and an additional piece of documentation showing your qualifying address.  

A person is entitled to be an elector on election day (October 22, 2018) if on Voting Day, he or she:

  • resides in the local municipality, or is the owner or tenant of land there, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; and
  • is a Canadian Citizen
  • is at least 18 years old; and
  • is not prohibited from voting under Section 17 Subsection 3 of the Municipal Election Act or otherwise by law.

Voting Period runs from Wednesday October 17, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. to Monday October 22, 2018 at 8:00 p.m.To be able to vote, your name must be on the list of eligible voters for Greenstone.

The Municipality of Greenstone recognizes that persons with disabilities should be provided with an equal opportunity to access goods, services and information in a manner consistent with the principles of independence, dignity, and equality. Electronic voting allows increased rights of privacy to voters with physical challenges that make traditional voting at polling stations more difficult. Voters with visual impairment can make use of the telephone and voters with hearing impairment can use the Internet to vote with little or no assistance required from others.
