Municipal Offices Reopening to the Public

The Municipal Administration office in Geraldton and the Beardmore, Longlac and Nakina Ward offices are now open to the public.

Residents may still make bill payments via mail, at your bank, on-line banking, or over the phone. For information, assistance or to make a bill payment please call:

For residents choosing to visit a Municipal office in person, please note that the following safety procedures have been implemented at all offices to protect both residents and staff:

  • Please read all signage on the entrance door prior to entering the building.
  • Please use provided hand sanitizer upon entering the building.
  • Physical distancing (maintaining a distance from one another and by a space of at least 2 metres) must be adhered to at all times.
  • Due to space restrictions the number of customers allowed entry at one time will be limited to the following:
    • Geraldton - Municipal Administration Office - three (3)
    • Beardmore Ward Office - two (2)
    • Longlac Ward Office - one (1)
    • Nakina Ward Office - one (1)
  • If more than the posted number of customers are at the office at any given time, please wait in line outside.  
  • If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, you will not be permitted entry to the building:
    • Fever (a temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius or higher)
    • Chills
    • Cough that is new or worsening (continuous, more than usual)
    • Barking cough, making a whistling noise when breathing (croup)
    • Shortness of breath (out of breath, unable to breathe deeply)
    • Sore throat and difficulty swallowing
    • Runny or congested nose (not related to seasonal allergies or other known causes or conditions)
    • Lost sense of taste or smell
    • Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis)
    • Headache
    • Digestive Issues (nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain)
    • Muscle aches
    • Extreme tiredness that is unusual (fatigue, lack of energy)
    • Falling often
    • For young children and infants: sluggishness or lack of appetite

  • If you answer yes to either of the following questions you will not be permitted entry to the building:
    • Are there any relevant travel restrictions that are presently in place that apply to you (out of country or out of province travel)?
    • Have you been exposed to someone with a known or probable case of COVID-19?
  • Any visitor seeking admittance to the Administration office for an in person meeting with a staff member must book an appointment and pass active screening questions prior to being allowed entry. Visitors will be escorted by that staff member for the entire time that they are inside the building. Physical distancing of at least two meters must always be maintained.
