Greenstone Rural Resource/Ontario Early Years Programs

The Municipality operates various Resource/Ontario Early Years programs for children, Parents and Caregivers. The programs provide support, learning opportunities and social interaction for families and caregivers. The Centres are a friendly supportive meeting place with environments where adults and children can play together, meet new friends, gain new skills and share ideas.

Some of the programs offered include:

  • daily playgroups
  • toy/book/video lending libraries
  • resource and equipment lending libraries
  • relief care
  • workshops and information sessions
  • family social events
  • and a child care registry.

Currently there are in-house programs in Geraldton and Beardmore. Francophone services are also offered in Geraldton. The Municipality has a Purchase of Service Agreement with the Nakina Heritage Corporation for services in Nakina. Outreach programming is available to the rural areas based on community need. Hours of operation are flexible and based on the needs of the families. For more information regarding these programs, please contact:
